About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Department of Economics staff, the student assistant is responsible for assisting the department's staff and professors. Student assistants will assist staff with various office tasks, such as word processing, spreadsheet maintenance, copying, faxing, and other duties as assigned. Also, classroom-related tasks will include copying of documents, maintaining attendance, and other duties. The student assistant may work closely with one or more professors for the duration of the semester.

Requirements

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
