About The Position

The Department Manager is responsible for merchandising and sales within the assigned Seasonal department and for providing the highest level of customer service. The position reports to the Store Manager and requires the ability to work days, nights, and every other weekend. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Seasonal products is preferred.

The pay range is $17.00–$18.00, depending on experience. The role is based in a retail store environment and involves frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to communicate assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with training and directing new department team members.
• Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
