DEPARTMENT MANAGER - COSMETICS
About The Position
As a Cosmetics Department Manager at Von Maur, you represent the company and help maintain its reputation for customer service. You drive beauty and skincare business growth by building and maintaining relationships, executing events, and inspiring associates to provide effective customer consultations and top-tier service. You motivate, train, coach, and lead associates by example; perform the duties of a cosmetics sales associate; assess associate performance; provide feedback on service, selling, and account statistics; and develop solutions to customer problems and department needs. The role requires availability for a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service by training, coaching, and leading by example.
- Execute all duties of a cosmetics sales associate.
- Assess associate performance to improve customer service quality, increase sales, and meet department goals.
- Provide associates with feedback on service, selling, and account statistics.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve customer problems and address department needs.
- Build and maintain relationships, execute events, and inspire associates to provide effective consultations and top-tier service.
- Be available to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
