About The Position

Bi-Mart is seeking a hardworking and energetic Clothing, Drugs, & Cosmetics Department Manager to help deliver a high degree of customer service and create a positive shopping experience. The position serves customers promptly and courteously, handles transactions accurately, ensures sales clerks receive required breaks, and works with store management to build teamwork and pride of ownership. Additional duties may include replenishing inventory, keeping department fixtures clean and well stocked, and helping train new employees on department responsibilities. The Store Team works to maintain a high level of customer service and friendliness, helping customers feel at home in Bi-Mart stores. Bi-Mart is a community-based, employee-owned company that has served the Northwest for more than 70 years and supports charitable organizations and local causes. The stated pay range is USD $19.30–$20.95 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with an on-demand payment option. Store hours are 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Sunday; employee hours may vary depending on workload and assignment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, courtesy clerk, or in another retail position.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Ability to arrive on time with a positive and friendly attitude.
Ability to set priorities and organize workload.
Ability to solve problems efficiently and offer solutions to customers.
Ability to engage with and assist a variety of individuals.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Capacity to think strategically and lead.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons is an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly customer service and handle customer transactions accurately.
