About The Position

Help a Child Smile is seeking a Dentist to provide dental care to underserved children at schools in Blackshear, Georgia, and surrounding areas. This school-based mobile dental program offers an alternative to a traditional dental practice, with workdays that end with the school day and no nights or weekends. The role may suit dentists seeking supplemental income, working parents, recent graduates, people approaching retirement, or anyone interested in making a difference in dentistry.

Positions are available full-time or part-time, from one to five days per week. The schedule follows the school day, approximately six hours, with evenings, weekends, and summers off. Dentists travel daily to and from school sites and use portable dental equipment and digital radiography.

Help A Child Smile is Georgia’s leading at-school dental program, addressing the need for dental care among underserved school-aged children who may lack access to care and experience poor oral hygiene, tooth decay, pain, and related health problems. Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree.
• Ability to work well with children and adults.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel daily to and from school sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
