About The Position

The Dentist provides dental services to inmate patients at the assigned institution while following facility security regulations. The role includes maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services and providing it to the director or designee to support compliance with the client contract and appropriate compensation. The position is one day per week, with Fridays preferred.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine.
• Hold and maintain current dentist licensure in the state of employment.
• Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
• Reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in general dentistry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental care and treatment to referred patients in accordance with facility regulations and standards.
• Perform routine cleaning, restorative dentistry, and extractions as needed.
• Evaluate patients’ dental care needs and make clinically appropriate recommendations.
• Take impressions for dental appliances and instruct patients in good dental hygiene techniques.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Provide in-service training for health staff members.
