About The Position

Smile Maryland, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dentist to provide dental care to underserved children at their school in Prince George's and Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas. This innovative in-school dental program offers a unique work-life balance with workdays ending with the school day, and no nights or weekends. It's ideal for dentists looking to supplement income, working parents, recent graduates, those nearing retirement, and anyone passionate about making a difference in the dental field. Smile Programs, the parent organization, was founded almost two decades ago by two dentists who identified a critical need among underserved school-aged children lacking easy access to dental care. The program aims to bring dental services directly to children, addressing issues like poor oral hygiene, tooth decay, and pain, which often lead to significant school hours lost. Through its dental partners, Smile Programs delivers preventative and restorative care to approximately 500,000 children annually across 20 states, partnering with over 8,000 school districts. The team utilizes state-of-the-art portable equipment to transform school venues into fully functional dental offices or operates from self-contained mobile dental facilities, ensuring exceptional care with minimal disruption to the school routine. Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree
• Ability to work well with both children & adults
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel daily to/from school sites across counties
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
