About The Position
The practice provides dental care to residents in healthcare settings, including nursing home and rehabilitation facilities, and has done so for over 40 years. It is seeking a General Dentist to deliver high-quality dental care to elderly patients, with attention to their safety, comfort, and dignity. The role is part-time and based in Far Rockaway, New York, with opportunities also available throughout the NY area. Compensation is described as competitive. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered and is paid after three months of verified visits. Requirements
- Current New York State dental license.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals and patients.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Dental or Medical Record programs.
- Strong workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
- Commitment to providing quality care to elderly patients while keeping their safety, comfort, and dignity in mind.
Responsibilities
- Provide general dental services, including examinations, treatment planning, X-rays, oral prophylaxis, scaling, fabrication and repair of dentures, restorations, oral hygiene instruction, and extractions within the limits of general practice.
- Maintain proper documentation of treatments for all patients.
- Supervise the attending dental hygienist and dental assistant.
- Cooperate with other members of the patient’s multidisciplinary health team.
