About The Position

Armor Health is seeking a Dentist to provide care in a correctional healthcare and dental setting. The Dentist provides and manages direct dental patient care for a specified population, manages daily clinic operations, and supports health promotion, education, and prevention programs. The role also includes providing in-service training for health staff members.

Requirements

• Current state license as DMD/DDS.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct dental patient care, including oral examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified population in a correctional healthcare/dental setting.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed oral conditions.
• Manage the daily operations of the dental clinic at the facility.
• Participate in and direct health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs for inmates.
• Provide in-service training for health staff members.
