About The Position

Ohio Dental Outreach, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a general and/or pediatric dentist in Cincinnati, OH and the surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school. This innovative in-school dental program offers a unique work-life balance with a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends. It is ideal for dentists looking to supplement their current income, working parents, recent graduates, those looking towards retirement, and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field. Smile Programs, the nation's leading in-school dental program, was founded almost two decades ago by two dentists who recognized the significant need among underserved school-aged children lacking easy access to dental care. Many children suffered from poor oral hygiene, tooth decay, pain, and associated medical problems because parents faced challenges like time off from work and transportation. Smile Programs brings care directly to the schools, providing preventative and restorative care to approximately 500,000 children per year. Tooth decay is the most common preventable disease among children, leading to over 51 million lost school hours annually. Smile Programs affiliates with state-licensed dentists, hygienists, and assistants who use state-of-the-art portable equipment to provide services onsite, transforming classrooms, auditoriums, or other school venues into fully functional dental offices for the day. The program is active in 20 states and partners with over 8,000 school districts. They are continuously seeking caring, compassionate professionals to join their team and address the ongoing lack of access to dental care for underserved children.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree
• Ability to work well with both children & adults
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel daily to/from school sites
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. without Visa Sponsorship
