Dentist - PRN Weekend

About The Position
The Dentist provides dental services to inmate patients at the assigned institution while following facility security regulations. The role includes maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential records of services and submitting documentation to the director or designee to support compliance with the client contract and proper compensation. Dental clinics take place on Saturdays or Sundays, and backup coverage is sought for at least one eight-hour shift per month.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine.
- Maintain current licensure as a dentist in the state of employment.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Reside in the United States.

- One year of experience in general dentistry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide dental care and treatment to referred patients in accordance with facility regulations and standards.
- Perform routine cleanings, restorative dentistry, and extractions as needed.
- Evaluate patients’ dental care needs and make clinically appropriate recommendations.
- Take impressions for dental appliances and instruct patients in good dental hygiene techniques.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records and provide documentation to the director or designee.
- Provide in-service training for health staff members.
- Adhere to the security regulations of the assigned facility.
