About The Position
Cypress Creek Hospital is a free-standing 128-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in north Houston, Texas, serving adolescents and adults through inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. The hospital’s multidisciplinary team provides compassionate care to patients. The Weekend Inpatient Licensed Therapist is a key member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting high-quality, cost-effective care consistent with Universal Health Services’ mission, vision, and values and applicable government, licensing, and accreditation requirements. Hours are determined by departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Clinical Services or CEO/Managing Director.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current Texas licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Complete psychosocial assessments and treatment plan reviews within established timeframes.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients, families, and significant others, either face to face or by telephone.
- Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare team members on crisis intervention, behavioral plans, case conferences, client-centered interventions, and discharge planning.
- Conduct assigned therapeutic groups.
- Provide education, instructions, and advocacy information to help patients and significant others identify and secure needed healthcare follow-up services.
