About The Position

The PRN Dentist performs professional dental work involving the supervision, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental diseases, injuries, and deformities. The position provides general dental services and works with patients, clinic personnel, and an assigned dental assistant. Shifts are worked on Saturdays from 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM. Further scheduling details are discussed during the interview. The hourly rate is $120. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry.
Valid D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree.
Current Iowa license, federal DEA registration, and Iowa CSA registration in good standing.
Comprehensive skills and ability to apply modern methods and practices of general four-handed dentistry and oral surgery.

Responsibilities

Examine and diagnose patients and plan treatment programs.
Perform operative dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Participate in staffing, in-service training, patient education, and other meetings as appropriate.
Refer patients to specialists for services outside the scope of general dentistry or cases of unusual difficulty.
Supervise an assigned dental assistant in providing patient care.
Demonstrate a caring and helpful attitude when interacting with patients, vendors, and fellow employees.
Build cooperative partnerships by treating people inside and outside the organization as customers.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other clinic personnel.
Participate in departmental continuous quality improvement.
Follow established policies and procedures.
