About The Position

Smile Pennsylvania is seeking a general dentist to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. This school-based mobile dental program offers an alternative to a traditional dental practice, with workdays aligned to the school day and no nights or weekends. The role may suit dentists seeking supplemental income, working parents, recent graduates, people approaching retirement, or others interested in making a difference in dentistry.

Dentists work approximately 6–7 hours per school day, on average between 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. The program brings preventive and restorative care to children at school using portable dental equipment and digital radiography. Dental teams transform suitable school spaces into functional dental offices for the day. Full- and part-time positions are available, with flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree.
• Ability to work well with both children and adults.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel daily to and from school sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
