Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 1 year Dental Office experience
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • A positive, patient-centered mindset
  • Someone who enjoys challenges, problem-solving, and thinking creatively

Nice To Haves

  • Additional administrative certifications
  • Knowledge of dental terminology
  • Knowledge of practice management software

Responsibilities

  • Greet and warmly welcome patients to the practice
  • Schedule, reschedule, and manage appointments thoughtfully and efficiently
  • Assist patients with digital forms
  • Prepare digital charts and daily schedules
  • Present treatment plans clearly and confidently
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists
  • Verify insurance and payment methods; collect payments as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Provide follow-up communication and appointment reminders
  • Perform general administrative duties including phones, email, and office organization
  • Help ensure the practice runs smoothly while making every patient feel valued and cared for
