About The Position

Horizon Health is seeking a full-time Dental Receptionist (Float) to provide a positive first impression for patients in the clinic setting. The role uses customer-service skills and multitasking to support effective patient flow throughout each visit. Candidates should have excellent people and customer-service skills and a passion for high-quality, patient-centered care. The position works in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on individual patient needs and community health and wellness. The home location is Plankinton, with regular coverage in Wessington Springs. The receptionist may also float to other Horizon Dental locations as needed. Computer experience is required; dental-field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide service throughout the patient’s appointment in accordance with Horizon Health values, including addressing patient grievances, concerns, or complaints.
Manage the appointment schedule, ensuring appointments are assigned appropriate lengths and providers.
Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance information, and registration forms while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
Communicate financial expectations, collect co-pays and patient balances, coordinate payment plans, and support the revenue cycle through responsible stewardship of resources.
