Dental Receptionist - Central Region Float
About The Position
Horizon Health is seeking a full-time Dental Receptionist (Float) to provide a positive first impression for patients in the clinic setting. The role uses customer service skills and multitasking to support effective patient flow throughout each visit. The organization is looking for candidates passionate about high-quality, patient-centered care and offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on individual patient needs and community health and wellness. The position’s home location is Plankinton and it regularly covers Wessington Springs. It may also float to other Horizon Dental locations as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service throughout the patient’s appointment in a manner rooted in Horizon Health values, and address patient grievances, concerns, or complaints.
- Manage the appointment schedule to ensure appointments are appropriately timed and assigned to the appropriate provider.
- Collect and verify patient demographic information, including name, address, and insurance information, as well as other registration forms, while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicate financial expectations to patients, collect co-pays and patient balances, coordinate payment plans, and steward resources as part of the revenue cycle.
- Cover the Wessington Springs location regularly and float to other Horizon Dental locations as needed.
