About The Position

Overjet is seeking a Board-Certified Endodontist to provide licensed dental claims review for insurers through its nationwide network of dental consultants. The role involves reviewing insurance claims for medical necessity and eligibility, processing appeals, and conferring with providers. Consultants use Overjet’s dental AI technology to support their decision-making. This is a remote, part-time 1099 contractor role for 15–20 hours per week.

Requirements

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school.
• Board certification in Endodontics.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience.
• Active, unrestricted dental license in Florida.
• Proficiency with CDT codes and dental procedures.
• Strong computer skills and comfort with remote platforms such as Zoom.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior claims review experience, preferably 2 or more years.

Responsibilities

• Authorize or deny predeterminations and claims by reviewing radiographs and/or other supporting documentation in accordance with member plan benefits, with support from Overjet’s dental AI technology.
• Evaluate appeals, request additional information, make revised claim decisions, and provide further recommendations.
• Communicate claim review outcomes to participating dentists and plan members.
• Participate in training and calibration sessions and provide regular feedback to improve claims review productivity and accuracy.
