About The Position

The Dental Assistant supports doctors by helping provide superior patient care and serving as an example of respect and care for customers and office personnel. The role involves communicating treatment needs to parents and patients according to the prescribed treatment plan, recognizing prior authorization requirements, and ensuring consent forms are signed. The Dental Assistant maintains awareness of patients’ comfort and safety, documents treatment in electronic and paper dental records and forms, and performs general housekeeping and restocking as needed.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Training from an accredited dental assistant school.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate the needs of the team and doctor.
• Respectful, kind, and considerate toward team members, patients, and the doctor.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate treatment needs clearly and calmly to parents and patients using the prescribed treatment plan.
