About The Position
We are looking for a full-time Dental Assistant who is an energetic team player. The practice is an established private family practice in Belfast, with a strong team environment and a focus on patients and staff. The practice is willing to train the right candidate. The role supports patient care and the dentist during treatment, maintains patient records, and helps ensure compliance with sterilization and OSHA requirements. Requirements
- Passion for patient care.
- Availability to work practice hours as needed, Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials.
- Welcome, comfort, seat, and drape patients.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts and fabricate temporary restorations.
- Provide information to patients and answer their questions and requests.
- Clean and polish removable appliances.
- Anticipate the doctor's needs by preparing setups, providing suction, and passing instruments and materials.
- Thoroughly document dental care services in patient records.
- Take intraoral photographs.
- Ensure OSHA compliance when sterilizing instruments, dental equipment, and treatment rooms.
- Contribute to the team with an engaging and positive disposition.
