About The Position
The HealthCare Connection (THCC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental operations at its Mt. Healthy and Lincoln Heights Health Center locations. The role is critical to delivering a positive, comfortable patient experience and requires a professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills. The Dental Assistant works with the Dentist, Dental Hygienist, and/or EFDA and helps maintain clinical readiness and patient flow.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ohio Radiographer’s License.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain it.
- Familiarity with dental and infection control standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn electronic dental record systems.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and open to supervision.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen as a condition of an employment offer.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures.
- Provide chairside assistance to the Dentist, Dental Hygienist, and/or EFDA.
- Record exam findings and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor sterilization cycles and follow infection control protocols.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure clinical readiness.
- Support patient flow and clinic operations.
- Assist with various dental procedures as needed.
