About The Position

Towncare Dental of Cooper City is seeking a Dental Assistant in Cooper City, Florida, to support the clinical team and provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The Dental Assistant supports the office and assists professional dental staff with treatment, contributing to the practice’s mission of providing excellent dental care in the community and creating positive patient experiences. Prior dental assisting experience is required for consideration. The position includes clinical support, patient education, radiography and diagnostic assistance, infection control and safety responsibilities, and maintaining patient records. Dental Assistants must maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
X-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
