About The Position

Towncare Dental of Cooper City is seeking a Dental Assistant in Cooper City, Florida, to support the clinical team by assisting dental professionals with treatment and delivering a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based, patient-centered practice. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience. The role includes clinical support, patient care and education, radiography and diagnostic assistance, documentation, and compliance with safety and workplace requirements. Dental Assistants are expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
X-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Follow infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and comply with workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
