About The Position

Centurion is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for Farmington Correctional Center in Farmington, Missouri. Under the direct supervision of a Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist, the Dental Assistant provides chairside assistance in a correctional setting. The role also includes preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and performing additional administrative tasks as needed.

The position is a day shift scheduled for 16 hours per week. Benefits listed are for full-time team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Missouri Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one.
• Maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation.
• Maintain active CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screening and a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant.
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant; if not currently certified, obtain certification within the first year of employment.
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental X-rays.
