About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients. The position focuses on serving underserved children and includes patient care, accurate recordkeeping, radiography, sterilization, and maintaining a clean, presentable practice. The stated pay range is $18–$24 per hour, with monthly bonus opportunities. Other duties supporting the business and its mission may be assigned.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
Current BLS CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW).
Previous experience working in a dental office.

Responsibilities

Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
Obtain dental radiographs, including periapicals, bitewings, and panoramic images, as requested by the dentist.
Write accurate and consistent notes and ensure chart notes match services completed.
Build friendly relationships with patients and parents and educate them about good oral health.
Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations according to OSHA standards.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the provision of high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children and support the business and its mission.
