Dental Assistant
About The Position
Seven Pines Dental Group is hiring a Dental Assistant to help provide compassionate care and a comfortable, confidence-building experience for patients. The role supports the dentist during procedures, performs imaging and scanning as prescribed, maintains infection control and prepared treatment rooms, and educates patients on oral hygiene as needed. The practice describes its environment as modern and technology-enabled, with a supportive, health-focused culture and no production-quota pressure. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. The position is at Seven Pines Dental Group, 4501 S Laburnum Ave, Suite 540, Henrico, VA 23231. The stated pay range is $19–$23 per hour. Benefits are available in full-time employment at 30 or more hours weekly; some benefits may also be available to part-time employees.
Requirements
- Prior dental assisting experience.
- Any certification or license required by the state to perform specified duties.
- A resume demonstrating a consistent and stable employment history.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and confident during their visits.
- Assist the dentist with a variety of procedures.
- Take digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control requirements.
- Sanitize and prepare operatories for treatments.
- Follow OSHA and safety policies.
- Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
