About The Position

Lone Peak Dental Group is seeking a versatile, energetic, and patient-focused Dental Assistant with pediatric and orthodontic experience. The role supports a general dentist specializing in children's care and an orthodontist, helping create a positive, anxiety-free experience for children and their caregivers while providing clinical assistance. The Dental Assistant welcomes children and parents, explains procedures in kid-friendly terms, performs pediatric preventive procedures, and supports orthodontic care. The role also includes sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment rooms, maintaining inventory, and notifying the Lead Assistant about inventory needs or equipment maintenance. Requirements

Must meet all certification requirements, including coronal polishing, CDA, and X-ray certification.

Responsibilities

Welcome children and parents and explain procedures in simple, kid-friendly terms to help alleviate dental anxiety.
Perform pediatric prophys, apply fluoride treatments, take digital radiographs (X-rays), and place sealants.
Use positive reinforcement and child-management techniques to support safe, smooth appointments.
Assist with orthodontic care and help patients track orthodontic progress.
Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment rooms in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and infection-control guidelines.
Keep clinical areas stocked and notify the Lead Assistant of inventory needs or equipment maintenance.
Help provide a welcoming, engaging, and exceptional experience for children and their caregivers.
