About The Position
Wilmington Kids Dental, part of Kids Dental Brands, is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental care. The role works closely with children and families, assists dentists with clinical procedures, and helps create a safe, welcoming experience for patients. Requirements
- DA Certificate (CDA, DA I, or DA II).
- North Carolina Radiation Certification or DANB Radiation Certification.
Responsibilities
- Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings.
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition.
- Review medical histories, take blood pressure and pulse, and update records.
- Help children feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after treatment.
- Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families.
