About The Position

Dental Assistants deliver “Best in Class” care to every patient and assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures. The role is suited to someone with empathy, patience, quick-thinking ability, and a desire to help others. Candidates may be experienced dental assistants or motivated to learn more about the dental industry. The position is located at FRESHDental Hickory.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
• Use knowledge of general mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
• Understand crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
• Take and process patient X-rays.
• Perform lab tasks as instructed.
• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
• Communicate oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice.
