About The Position

The Dental Assistant is an important member of the clinical team, working alongside general practitioners (GPs) and other specialty clinicians to serve patients. The role supports different aspects of the practice, including greeting and guiding patients and assisting across the office as needed. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and one Saturday per month from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Compensation is $24–$26 per hour. Benefits depend on employment status and hours worked.

Requirements

• Virginia radiology certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain it before the start date.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Help educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies.
• Support efforts to improve oral health, solve dental challenges, and help patients improve their smiles.
• Greet and guide patients and assist across the office as needed.
