About The Position

As a Dental Assistant at Aspen Dental, you will support the clinical needs of patients and doctors. The role includes assisting with treatment procedures, taking dental x-rays, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, and helping maintain patient flow. You will educate patients about oral hygiene, complete denture soft relines and temporary crowns, take impressions and bite registrations, perform digital intraoral scans, support patient charting, and complete office tasks as needed. Requirements

Active x-ray certificate as a Dental Radiation Technologist as required by the state of Maryland.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Take dental x-rays.
Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
Perform digital intraoral scans.
Support patient charting for doctors.
Perform various office tasks as necessary.
Collaborate with the practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
