About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with Nevada dental standards. This is a part-time position working three days a week. CHOICE Healthcare Services provides pediatric dental care in the Southwest United States. Its stated mission is to provide everyone access to the healthcare they need.
Requirements
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; listed as preferred.
- Nevada X-ray certification or affidavit.
- BLS certification.
- Four-hour Infection Control certification.

Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during procedures.
- Take x-rays.
- Take intraoral (IO) images.
- Assist with prophylaxis teeth cleanings.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up and break down rooms and prepare them for treatment and hygiene visits.
- Chart patient treatment and treatment plans with the doctor.
