About The Position
The Dental Assistant collaborates with the practice team to provide clinical support and help ensure patients receive the care they need. The role includes preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist with restorative procedures, and maintaining high standards of care and efficiency. The schedule is Monday 8:45 a.m.–6 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday 7:45 a.m.–5 p.m.; every other Friday 7:45 a.m.–3 p.m.; and one Saturday per month 7:45 a.m.–3 p.m. The position is based at Corner Dental in Oregon, Ohio.
Requirements
- Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
- Radiography/X-ray certification appropriate to the state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Commitment to exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities
- Provide chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup and cleanup, and patient education.
- Record and review patient health histories, enter chart information under the dentist's direction, and ensure documentation is complete.
- Set up trays and instruments according to the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
- Prepare patients and sterilize and disinfect instruments while maintaining asepsis and following OSHA standards.
- Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certification and safety requirements.
