About The Position

Ideal Dental is seeking a PRN Dental Assistant to support patients and the dental team in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. The role assists with dental procedures, patient preparation and education, imaging, charting, infection control, and maintaining treatment rooms. The position uses iTero scanning technology and supports smooth patient flow and a positive patient experience. New-acquired DeNovo offices may require travel.

Requirements

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly.
• Prepare and educate guests before the dentist’s examination.
• Assist dentists with a wide range of procedures and help ensure patients are comfortable.
• Take dental X-rays.
• Use the iTero scanner; training and use are included.
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
• Record each guest’s medical history.
• Chart existing and recommended treatments and assist with documentation.
• Take impressions and bite registrations.
• Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions throughout visits.
• Educate patients about oral hygiene practices.
• Work collaboratively with the practice team to provide quality guest care and patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as required to support the office.
• Travel to newly acquired DeNovo offices if required.
