About The Position

The Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide clinical support and help patients receive the care they need. The role prepares patients for treatment and assists the dentist with restorative dentistry. The practice emphasizes empathetic, patient-first care and collaboration with doctors and hygienists. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; and Friday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is advertised.

Requirements

Dental assisting certification or prior on-the-job training.
Radiography/X-ray certification for the respective state.
CPR certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.

Nice To Haves

One to five years of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

Provide chair-side clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup and cleanup, and patient education.
Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and ensure forms and signatures are completed in dental software.
Review the daily schedule and prepare appropriate trays and instruments.
Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentists during procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including HIPAA guidelines and required CPR, X-ray, and other certifications and registrations.
