About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to support exceptional patient care in a warm, welcoming, and professional dental environment. The role is based in Jackson, New Jersey, and is full-time, Monday through Friday, with every other Saturday. The stated pay range is $24.00–$28.00 per hour, and the position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The Dental Assistant helps patients feel comfortable, prepares them for treatment, and assists doctors and hygienists during procedures while maintaining an organized, clean, and sterile clinical environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
Active New Jersey x-ray license.
Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

Help patients feel comfortable and confident during dental visits by addressing individual concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
Escort patients to and from the front desk and help ensure a positive patient experience.
Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
Monitor operatory supplies, maintain adequate inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
