Registered Dental Assistant - Sign On Bonus
About The Position
The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. The position is located in Jackson, New Jersey, and is full-time, Monday through Friday, with every other Saturday. The pay range is $28.00–$30.00 per hour, and the role includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The Registered Dental Assistant helps patients feel comfortable during visits, prepares them for treatment, and assists doctors and hygienists during dental procedures. The role also involves preparing treatment rooms and instrument trays, maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment, monitoring supplies, and following infection-control and office-safety protocols. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Active New Jersey X-ray license.
- Active Registered Dental Assistant license.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection-control protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Nice To Haves
- Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Help patients feel comfortable and confident during dental visits by addressing their concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
- Escort patients to and from the front desk and help ensure a positive patient experience.
- Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
- Monitor operatory supplies, maintain adequate inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
- Follow infection-control, sterilization, and office-safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
