About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. The Dental Assistant helps patients feel comfortable throughout their visits, prepares them for treatment, and assists doctors and hygienists during procedures. The role also helps maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment and supports smooth patient visits and efficient clinic operations. This is a full-time position in Wellesley, Massachusetts, in the Greater Boston area. Compensation is $30.00–$35.00 per hour, with a $500 sign-on bonus. Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
Active Massachusetts x-ray license.
Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Nice To Haves

Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Help patients feel comfortable and confident during dental visits by addressing individual concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment that promotes patient safety and comfort.
Escort patients to and from the front desk and help ensure a positive patient experience.
Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
Monitor operatory supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking as needed.
Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
