The Proof Demo Lab is a dedicated facility within our SN Studios in Irvine, equipped with high-speed rigs, water, fire, dust, and specialized gear to capture product performance at 1000 frames per second. This role is responsible for creating compelling content that showcases product performance so clearly that claims become unnecessary, focusing on demonstrating the product's ability to solve real consumer problems.

The core philosophy is that 'Product is King,' meaning the product's performance is the hero of every piece of content. The ideal candidate will prioritize product and performance in their creative process, understanding that these are not in conflict. The role involves end-to-end ownership of demo content, from ideation and product testing to shooting and editing, with a focus on creating content that makes viewers think, "I did not know that was possible."

Requirements

• Real experience making product demo content (brand, agency, creator, or own channel).
• A body of work where the product is the hero and performance is the point.
• Proof of ability to ideate, test, shoot, and edit.
• Speed and ability to produce volume without a drop in quality.
• Ability to defend a point of view while also being open to feedback and alternative approaches.
• Fluency in understanding what makes people stop, save, and send content.
• Proficiency in Premiere or Resolve.
• Experience shooting vertical video with an understanding that a vertical cut is a different film, not just a crop.
• Experience shooting modularly to feed multiple platforms.
• Experience with high-speed, macro, water, fire, food, dust, and mess.

• Experience with AI-native culture and experimentation.
• Understanding of consumer problems and how engineering solves them.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, pitch, and defend demo concepts that prove product performance.
• Design and execute tests that honestly and clearly demonstrate product capabilities.
• Shoot and edit product demo content, ensuring the product's performance is the central focus.
• Capture high-speed, macro, and various environmental shots (water, fire, food, dust, mess) as needed.
• Edit content using Premiere or Resolve, focusing on strong hooks, impactful sound design, and shareable moments.
• Deliver content in multiple formats and ratios for various platforms (social, retail, e-commerce, paid media).
• Analyze performance metrics (e.g., retention curves) and recut/repost underperforming content.
• Collaborate with engineering to understand product capabilities and translate them into compelling demos.
• Stay updated on new demo formats and invent new approaches.
• Manage content production as a one-person crew, handling ideation, testing, shooting, and editing.
