About The Position
Actively Hiring Experienced Caregivers with Significant Dementia Experience. Hourly Pay Rate: $22-$23. Shifts Available: 12 Hour Day Shifts, Monday-Sunday. Employment type: Per Diem. Location: La Jolla, CA. Are you a dementia care expert? As a Cheer Home Care Aide, you will provide compassionate non-medical home care services to the elderly and disabled, specifically for 12-hours shifts with individuals with dementia. Your main focus will be on providing companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation services, all designed to help our clients maintain a comfortable and fulfilling life at home.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience and a proven track record of providing high-quality care.
- Experience with specialized care, such as Dementia or Parkinson's, is required.
- Caregivers who want to stick with the same client long-term, building a strong relationship over the years.
- Someone who treats clients like family and takes pride in making a positive difference every day.
- 10+ Dementia Care Experience
- Ability to assist with mobility, transfers and physical support
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Able to drive client in their own personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement)
- Cell phone with internet access

Responsibilities
- Personal care with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, personal hygiene assistance, and light meal prep.
- Transportation services to clients for medical appointments.
- Organizing dementia friendly tasks and activities.
- Light housekeeping and organization.
- Helping with activities of daily living
