About The Position

Cheer Home Care is actively hiring experienced caregivers with significant dementia experience for 12-hour overnight shifts in La Jolla, CA. The role involves providing compassionate non-medical home care services to the elderly and disabled, focusing on individuals with dementia. Responsibilities include companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation to help clients maintain a comfortable and fulfilling life at home.

Requirements

• Helping with activities of daily living
• 10+ years of Dementia Care Experience
• Ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and physical support
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Able to drive the client in their own personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement)
• Cell phone with internet access

Nice To Haves

• CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED certifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Providing compassionate dementia care with patience and respect
• Offering companionship, engagement, and emotional support throughout the evening with dementia-friendly activities
• Supporting mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Maintaining a calm and comfortable atmosphere
