About The Position

Washington Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse with dementia or memory care experience. Nurses build meaningful relationships by learning about residents’ and staff members’ life stories, and use their nursing skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being. The role calls for a supportive presence, leadership that fosters teamwork, collaboration with nursing and other facility teams, and interpersonal communication that contributes to a respectful, positive work environment. Requirements

• Current, valid Registered Nurse license in Indiana.
• Experience in dementia or memory care.
• Proficient medication management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
• Ability to support a respectful and positive work environment through interpersonal communication.
• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet and exceed residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
• Work with the team toward excellent resident care.
• Use nursing skills to support residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being.
• Conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values toward residents, family members, customers, and staff.
