About The Position

Linear is seeking a Demand Generation Lead to own how future customers discover and experience the Linear platform across web, search, and paid media. The primary objective is to build awareness and pipeline, with a specific focus on larger companies. This role is crucial for distributing Linear's quality content and messaging to the right audiences. The company is brand-forward and prioritizes perception, meaning they are unlikely to use tactics like retargeting pixels or gated content. As the first demand generation hire, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing the demand generation strategy. The marketing team is small but impactful, and the new hire will have significant influence on Linear's growth, with encouragement to take ownership and implement effective tooling and practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in growth or demand generation at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Hands-on experience across web, paid media, and ABM.
  • Proven experience generating pipeline for an enterprise sales team.
  • Genuine design sense with the ability to direct creative and assess quality.
  • Strong understanding of Linear's core audience (product and engineering teams) and ability to communicate effectively with them.
  • Disciplined approach to budget management, with the ability to identify and capitalize on key opportunities.
  • Proficiency in measurement and reporting, with the ability to articulate pipeline math and defend spend.
  • Deep fluency with AI tooling and a default to using automation.
  • Well-versed in attribution, with a pragmatic approach to its application.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the in-house design team on web pages and ad creative for customer-facing materials.
  • Own paid media end-to-end, including channel strategy, budget, and creative development.
  • Develop and execute account-based campaigns for enterprise accounts in partnership with sales and event marketing.
  • Own search strategy, encompassing both traditional search and AI-driven answer engines.
  • Define success metrics for demand generation efforts.
  • Actively utilize AI and automation tools to enhance speed and productivity.
