Delivery System Support

Gardner-White Furniture•Auburn Hills, MI

About The Position

A delivery assistant supports an efficient delivery load-out process by using STORIS to manage inventory movements, running daily reports for delivery managers, and monitoring delivery trucks in real time so delivery issues can be addressed promptly. The role also supports route setup and changes, DOT-related documentation, customer communications and resolutions, order corrections, and delivery documentation compliance. The position does not have supervisory responsibilities, but may provide guidance to drivers and helpers to improve efficiency. The job operates in a warehouse and dock environment. Dock temperatures vary by season, and the area is not well insulated because dock doors remain open during load out. Office space may occasionally be provided. The employee spends most of the day seated at a desk doing computer work, with some walking in the warehouse and occasional product lifting or moving. This is a full-time position with shifts that may vary based on business needs. Once a route is assigned, the work shift is expected to continue until the final delivery is completed. Overtime may be required.
