About The Position

The Delivery Specialist delivers parts and products to O’Reilly stores and the distribution center safely and efficiently, following an assigned city route and schedule. The role requires operating a company vehicle, meeting the company’s driving eligibility standards, and maintaining professional, personable communication with store teams. The specialist maintains route manifests, obtains and delivers stock transfers, and ensures that designated team members verify invoices and sign the manifest at each stop. They secure the vehicle, keys, and fuel card; check fluid levels and record mileage before daily operation; report maintenance needs promptly; and leave the vehicle fueled, locked, and secure at the end of the day. Delays, problems, and special store needs must be communicated to the appropriate supervisor or store management. The position also requires clocking in and out according to company policy.

Requirements

Have a legally required state driver's license and meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements.
Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Drive a company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or the distribution center safely and efficiently.
Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop and deliver them to the appropriate store.
Maintain the daily city route manifest and follow the set delivery schedule.
Ensure a designated team member at each store verifies invoices and signs the route manifest.
Report delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on the route.
Keep the fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure, and be familiar with accident-report guidelines.
Maintain a professional and personable image and communicate store problems or special needs to store management.
Clock in and out according to company policy.
Check vehicle fluid levels and log mileage before operating the vehicle each day.
Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the vehicle is locked and secured at the end of the day's business.
Drive safely and defensively.
