About The Position

The Delivery Specialist drives a company vehicle to deliver parts and products to O’Reilly stores and the distribution center on a set route and schedule. The role involves picking up and signing for stock transfers, maintaining a daily city route manifest, and ensuring designated team members verify invoices and sign the manifest. Delays must be reported to the city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on the route. The specialist secures the vehicle, keys, and fleet/fuel card; follows accident-report guidelines; checks fluid levels and records mileage before operating the vehicle; reports maintenance needs promptly; and ensures the vehicle is fueled, locked, and secured at the end of the day. The role also requires safe and defensive driving, professional communication with stores, clocking in and out according to company policy, and communicating store problems or special needs to store management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, with Spanish highly desired.

Requirements

Have a legally required state driver's license and meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements.
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Drive a company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or the distribution center.
Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on the set route and deliver them to the appropriate store.
Maintain the daily city route manifest for deliveries.
Keep the fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure, and know the accident-report guidelines.
Ensure designated team members at each store verify invoices and sign the route manifest.
Make deliveries according to the set schedule and report delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or remaining stores on the route.
Present a professional and personable image and communicate store problems or special needs to store management.
Clock in and out according to company policy.
Check vehicle fluid levels and log mileage before operating the vehicle each day.
Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day's business.
Drive safely and defensively.
