About The Position

The Delivery Specialist - Hub delivers parts and products to O’Reilly stores and the distribution center safely and efficiently. The role follows a set delivery route and schedule, maintains delivery records, safeguards the company vehicle and related items, and communicates delivery issues and store needs. The specialist also performs daily vehicle checks and reports maintenance needs. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Have a legally required state driver's license and meet company-mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or the distribution center.
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on the set route, then deliver them to the appropriate store.
• Maintain the daily city route manifest for deliveries.
• Keep the fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure, and be familiar with accident-report guidelines.
• Ensure a designated team member at each store verifies invoices and signs the route manifest.
• Make deliveries according to the set schedule and report delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on the route.
• Project a professional and personable image and maintain good customer relations.
• Communicate problems or special needs from stores to store management.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.
• Check vehicle fluid levels and log mileage before operating the vehicle each day.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
• Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day's business.
• Drive safely and defensively.
