About The Position

The F35 Quality & Mission Success (Q&MS) F35 Delivery Operations Team is seeking a Quality Analyst Staff- Level 4. This role is responsible for developing and implementing inspection plans, procedures, and tools to effectively detect product defects. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient resource utilization, providing mentorship and training to the quality control workforce, and developing and maintaining data and metrics related to product defects, manufacturing process variations, and adherence to quality management plans and engineering requirements. The analyst will analyze and interpret data to drive continuous improvement, collaborate with Quality Engineering on root cause analysis and corrective actions, and coordinate defect containment actions. Participation in and compliance with FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental, and safety procedures is also required. This position requires the candidate to be a US Citizen and work at a facility that requires special access, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Experience analyzing data
  • Experience reading and comprehending blueprints, engineering specifications and drawings, technical data and planning documents.
  • Quality Process and Continuous Improvement knowledge
  • Experience with data visualization tool(s) (i.e., Tableau, Business Objects, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Data analytics experience
  • Experience developing, monitoring and/or reporting metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of aviation quality experience
  • Experience in project management and use of project management tools
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt business processes into automated tools and perform specialized data investigations to support Root-Cause Corrective-Action (RCCA) efforts
  • Experience briefing senior leaders
  • Understanding of performance metric measures or Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting techniques a plus
  • Experience with aircraft exceptional release for flight.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing inspection plans, procedures and tools that effectively detect product defects.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effect utilization of available resources such as quality inspectors, production operations, and engineering departments.
  • Providing mentorship and on-the-job training related to quality control methods, techniques and tools to the quality control workforce.
  • Developing and maintaining of data and metrics relating to: - Product defects. - Variation in Manufacturing processes. - Production and Q&MS adherence to the LM Aero and F-35 Quality Management Plans. - Production adherence to engineering requirements and work instructions. - Q&MS organizational health.
  • Analyzing & interpreting data and metrics in a manner that leads to actionable intelligence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with Quality Engineering on the root cause of defects and development of robust corrective actions.
  • Developing and coordinating defect containment actions.
  • Participate in and ensure compliance with established FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety procedures.
