About The Position

The Delivery Installer supports beverage equipment service operations by delivering, removing, exchanging, relocating, setting up, maintaining, and repairing company beverage equipment to support customer satisfaction and sales. Equipment may include vending machines, coolers, restaurant fountain equipment, and coffee dispensing equipment. The role also performs preventative and quality maintenance checks and maintains required records and reports. The position requires customer service at customer locations, communication with customers and supervisors, equipment operation instruction, troubleshooting and repairs, and safe operation of a motor vehicle with manual or automatic transmission. Scheduling flexibility is required. The employee may be expected to perform additional job-related duties and may be required to supply hand tools. The work may involve moderately noisy manufacturing or warehouse environments, heights, confined spaces, and outdoor locations. The company provides hearing protection, a hard hat, and safety glasses. Certain positions may require background screening and pre-employment drug testing as applicable.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1–3 years of general work experience.
Mechanical skills and demonstrated mechanical, technical, and electrical aptitude.
Ability to follow manufacturers’ specifications and schematics.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
Basic computer skills.
Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle driving history that meets company guidelines.
Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform heavy lifting daily.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work in environments that may include heights, confined spaces, and outdoors.
Ability to walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle, feel, or operate objects; close vision and ability to focus on small components.
Scheduling flexibility.
Self-motivation, integrity, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Effective verbal and written communication, sound judgment, planning and organizing, reliability, adaptability, and commitment to quality and safety.

Nice To Haves

Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
General plumbing and technical experience.
Prior experience moving equipment.
Previous vending equipment repair and distribution experience.
Forklift certification.
Previous experience in a high-speed industrial environment.
Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge.

Responsibilities

Deliver, remove, exchange, and relocate beverage equipment.
Load and unload beverage equipment for delivery or return.
Communicate delivery and pickup status with customers and supervisors.
Check cooler placement, temperature, and refrigeration.
Educate customers on equipment operation.
Assist with installation, removal, and relocation of fountain and coffee dispensing equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance.
Operate motor vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
Maintain on-vehicle parts inventory and submit parts requests.
Complete required paperwork, including work tickets, parts lists, and vehicle inspections.
Rebuild and repair parts and equipment.
Use an electronic handheld device such as an iPad for data entry and retrieval.
Provide customer service by driving to customer locations to deliver or repair equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow and reinforce company regulations, policies, work procedures, and processes.
