About The Position

Ajax Distributing Co., INC is a family-owned and operated distributor of beer and non-alcoholic beverages. The Delivery Helper assists delivery personnel in delivering beverage products to retail accounts on a predetermined route for advance sales. The role supports quality assurance, customer rapport, service, and effective merchandising while ensuring products are rotated according to supplier requirements and quality standards are maintained without direct supervision.

This is a full-time position in Clarksville, Tennessee, working Monday through Friday for 40 or more hours per week. The employee must regularly lift products weighing 25 to 50 pounds and may need to handle keg products weighing up to 170 pounds. The role also requires pushing or pulling loaded carts weighing up to 800 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to regularly lift products weighing 25 to 50 pounds and handle keg products weighing up to 170 pounds.
• Able to push or pull loaded carts weighing up to 800 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial Class A license or permit; preferred but not required.
• Experience in beverage delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery personnel in delivering beverage products to retail accounts on a predetermined route for advance sales.
• Comply with quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Maintain strong customer rapport, provide quality service, and merchandise products effectively.
• Maintain quality standards through scheduled product rotation without direct supervision.
• Deliver products to scheduled accounts in good condition and within scheduled delivery times.
• Rotate all brands and packages in back rooms on a first-in, first-out basis in accordance with supplier requirements to prevent past-dated products from being available to consumers.
• Abide by local, state, and federal beverage codes.
• Provide shelf merchandising to stores when requested by a manager or customer.
• Keep the cab and bays of the truck neat and clean.
• Provide excellent customer rapport and positive product exposure through quality service to support product sales and market share.
• Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
